Our little corn patch

After we got rid of our swing set we had a spot in our grass where the end of the slide was that no longer had grass. When we were planting our garden Brandon took some of the soil and put in the spot where the slide was so the grass would regrow.

Brittin decided that would be a great place to plant her own little corn patch so she planted some corn in the soil. Her corn is growing faster than the corn in the garden. It is a little hard to play soccer around but she is very protective and it is doing great. People who come in our back yard often laugh at her little corn patch but she is very proud. If it can just survive the weedwacker and lawnmower I think she might end up with her own corn on the cob.

She just needs to get one of those circular fences from Lowe's! I love it. We just have weed's growing in the wrong places, so our shoot-ups aren't as much fun.

That is awesome! We planted a garden this year and then lots of weeds were growing to so I told Damon to kill it all off because we don't have time to care for it and so he did and the weirdest thing - one stalk of corn is growing! It will be interesting to see if any ears of corn grow on it! Let us know if Brittin gets her own ear!
