I have neglected my thankfuls for quite a while and I feel like I really need to get caught up on them and remind myself of the things that make me happy so these are for the past few weeks.
My daisies are in bloom right now. This is my favorite time of the year when all the daisies are all white and beautiful. They are my favorite flower and it makes me smile every time I turn the corner coming home and see them all in bloom.
My garden is growing so good. This is our first year to plant an official garden. We usually just do tomatoes, but this year we did it all. I love picking veggies from the garden to cook with or put in a salad. We have been eating lots of peas, radishes, and onions so far. I am waiting patiently for the tomatoes, squash, corn, carrots, beets and cucumbers. It is so exciting to walk out and see new things growing each day. Its like Christmas every day.
My aunt and uncle called us on Monday to see if we wanted to meet them in Leavenworth for lunch on Tuesday. We were very excited to see family so we all piled in the van and headed to Leavenworth for the afternoon. It was fun seeing and visiting with them. They live in their motor coach and travel during the summers. They usually end up in Anacortes, or Long Beach since it is cool up here. I am glad they call and see us during their trip each year. It makes us not so homesick.
We also got to pick cherries this past week. This is a fun time for our family, we love going to the orchard and picking/eating lots and lots of cherries. Tayson, Brittin and I went this time and got lots of yummy cherries. Tayson chased a rooster around for a while too and took some pics of him while we picked the cherries from too high up. We love living in a place where there are lots of orchards and always an abundance of good fresh fruit.
Last but not least I am thankful for good health for me and my family. I have a good friend who's son has cancer and it has taken such a toll on her and their family. It is something we take for granted every day until we are reminded how fragile this existence really is. So for my friends the Lewis's we love you, hang in there and know that we are praying for you and Eric.

love, love love your gerber daisy's. They are something to smile about. The garden area is looking so great, not at all like when we were there shoveling dirt and clods. Beautiful job Shepherd Fam. you must have green thumbs.
I sure am glad Lane and Shirley came over and met you guy. The were nearing my doghouse door. But I know they had a better day, because they made someone happy and a little less homesick... So awesome.
