Catching up

I am posting a few different things trying to catch up with the few weeks that have sped past so far this summer.

So I will start with Brittin's party. She had 6 girls and one little brother that joined her in our 24 hour sleep over event. It really wasn't bad the girls were great and had a fun time. They tye dye shirts and played in the water, ate pizza, watched Camp Rock, did alot of texting and pretty much just were silly and fun. They were all even asleep by 2. Yahoo!

GIRLS CAMP

Then off we went to Girls Camp. It was great. I am always so jealous of girls camp here compared to when I went when I was young. They stay in little longhouses that are like little cabins without a door, they have real bathrooms with showers and electricity. It seems like we always went to a cow pasture with no running water or bathrooms and had to make our own. They have lots of activities to keep them busy, there is horse back riding, canoeing, a rock wall and a monstrous slip and slide. Girls camp is held at Ensign Ranch. It is owned and operated by the LDS Church so they have lots of girls camps going all summer long. It is a beautiful place with a river running through it with lots of space to hike and venture. Brittin had a great time getting to know all the girls and learning lots of new fun games. I took some pics of a few different things we did, although when we did the climbing wall and slip and slide I did not have my camera with me. We did lots of roasting anything we could find over the fire including our favorite, Starbursts and playing lots of silly games like Raisin Stick and scissors, there was never a dull moment. The week ended with the 4th and 5th year girls also known as YCL's doing a program of the ten virgins followed by a feast and fabulous testimony meeting. The temperatures were really nice the whole time and I only came home with about 20 mosquito bites, all in all not too bad.

Just playing in the fire
Lots of dancing and fun at flag ceremony
Playing in the fire some more

Fun, we all have fond memories of girls camp at Ensign Ranch. We have lived in 2 Stakes since then and nothing compares to girls camp there. Enjoy it!!!
