Ridge to River Relay

Every year here in Wenatchee the Ridge to River Relay is held. It is so fun for the kids, there are 5 kids on a team. They each have a different job. The runner starts the race by running about a quarter of a mile to the lagoon where the paddler is waiting in a kayak to paddle across an inlet on the Columbia River, then the biker takes over and bikes about a mile to the obstacle course where his last two teamates are waiting. Tayson and his buddy Alan did the obstacle course this year, they did a great job. The team all meets up again at the end of the obstacle course and they all race to the end holding a swimming noodle. Taysons team took 7th. It is a crazy day with about 1000 kids competing, always a fun time.

Such a cute boy, I couldn't help but throw this one in here, trying on his "commando crew" stuff the night before the big race!

So cute, love the hands in the pockets. Waiting for their race to start.
