Happy Easter everyone!
This weekend was a busy one. Not only were we trying to do Easter things but we had soccer games and pictures for the kiddos. We had a good weekend though. Once we finally got home on Saturday evening we colored our eggs. I found a Tye dye coloring kit this year and they turned out really cool and it was really easy to use (for us craft challenged people).
The Easter bunny was even able to find us and leave a few little treats and prizes in our baskets. He must have done his homework to find out that Tayson had started reading the boxcar children series and was in need of the next two books, and that Brittins heart necklace she got long ago was starting to turn her neck green so he found her a nice sterling silver one to replace it, and that all Jordan ever needs is cold hard cash!
We were able to have Easter dinner on Sunday with some friends and then we came home and finally had some time to hide some Easter eggs, but since it was raining outside we hid them inside and we did a fabulous job. What the kids thought would be boring and take them only about 10 minutes ended taking an hour and being lots of fun. Brittin was the last one to find all hers and we were all giving her hints and she just could not get it. Poor girl!
Brittin will hurt me if she sees this on here.
I just have to end my Easter post with a funny Brittin story. One Easter when she was about 5 or 6 we had colored our eggs and they had been sitting in the fridge for a few days. I decided we might as well get some use out of them so I told the kids I was going to make deviled eggs with them or throw them in a potato salad. Without any one knowing Brittin took her favorite egg and hid it under her bed so I would not make it into potato salad. A few months later there was a funky smell in her room and we discovered her perfect little egg buried under her bed. It ended up making great potato salad after all. Just kidding! She was very sad when we told her we would have to throw it away after all!
