I have a friend who does this every Friday on her blog so I thought I would join in. Hopefully it will give me something to blog about when it seems my life is not exciting enough to post about.
This is such a great picture that tells a great story. This was taken just as Jordan finished the mile swim at scout camp in 2007. There were only a few boys who were able to accomplish this swim and I am sooo proud of him that he stuck with it and finished. I was a little concerned when he got home that he could have drowned in the middle of the big cold lake, but he assured me that there was a canoe about 10 feet from him the whole time so if he couldn't make the swim then it would pick him up. As you can see from the picture it was not an easy swim. It makes me tired just thinking about it. Anyway he was given his mile swim badge and a big cheer since he was the only scout in our troop to accomplish this in many years. Great job Jordan!
