I just sent my two oldest kids out the door at 7:30 this morning in -4 degree temps. Brittin was kidnapped by her young women leaders for an early morning breakfast, and Jordan is headed to do a scout fundraiser. I sure hope they stay warm. I will be a good mom and have hot chocolate waiting for them when they get back.
I don't think I have seen the temps this low since I was attending SUU. I remember walking to class and having my noseholes freeze shut each time I breathed in. It must have been pretty cold and knowing me I was probably wearing a sweatshirt and some shorts. heehee!
I am sooo exicited to be done working until 2009. We are staying home for Christmas and I am a little worried that the kids or I will go crazy stir crazy before the two weeks is up if our temps don't warm up. It has gotten down to the negative teens in the night and that doesn't include the wind chill. We have lots of snow and more to come today or tommorow so at least we can snowboord and sled if we can brave the cold.
I am happy to report that I am 98% done with my shopping! Yahoo! I just need to take the kids and let them buy for each other. Yesterday Tayson brought me a five dollar bill and asked if he could use it to buy Jordan a new snowboard and I could just pay the rest. Hmmm, I believe talked him out of that one and into going shopping with me and finding him something fun thats a little more in his price range.
I love this time of year mostly because I get to go to the mailbox each day and hopefully get Christmas cards. It is so much fun to see and hear from everyone even if its only once a year although I am hoping to stay in touch better than that. Thanks for the cards if you sent me one and of you didn't, DO!!!!! I was a loser last year and didn't send any out so I am hoping that people didn't knock me off their lists.
Well, I guess I have rambled enough. I sure hope everyone has a wonderful and merry Christmas. I wish we could see you all in person but I will be satisfied with reading your blogs and missing you.

That was such fun reading Tams. Except for the cold part. It's cold enough here but yours sounds much worse. You sound like me....I love going to the mailbox before Christmas to see who remembered me. I'll wish you a Merry Christmas here as my list is already so long. Love your fun news and fun life.

I agree with you about the mail! Matt jokes that December is the ONLY time I ever go and pick up the mail. Isn't it interesting in this email world that we STILL mail cards snail-mail? I hope it never goes out of style!
