I haven't done these in a while so it's time for me to sit down and remind myself of the things that make me happy in my life.
I am soooooo thankful that when President Benion called on Friday he was just asking me to give the closing prayer at stake conference and not a talk. Whew! I made it through nervously. I am one of those people who get so nervous being in front of a group that the things never come out of my mouth the way I have them put together in my head. Oh well, I guess it came from the heart since the things I said were not the things I had thought about saying. Pres. Benion told me to keep it short and sweet, good thing because me and long winded prayers just don't go together.
We had Elder Hafen of the seventies speak in conference. He was very fun to listen too. He talked about his oldest son that just seemed dance to the beat of his own drum all through his teenage years and they just never knew what would be happening next. I kept thinking to myself he must know Jordan. heehee. He stressed the fact that you can just teach them and love them and let them make their own choices and hope they turn out great in the end as his son did. It is so nice when someone says just what YOU need to hear at that time.
I get to go to girls camp for a few days with Brittin the end of June. I am really excited to spend time with her in that setting, and see how much fun she will have bonding with the girls. She turns 12 just before camp so this will be her first experience with the YW. She will love it!
We got a new van this weekend. I really liked our Town and Country and although it was only a few years old, it just seemed to be having alot of issues, the final one being the air conditioner no longer wanting to work. So we gave in and bought a Honda Odyssey. It has alot of the same extras our other van had and just seems so much more solid. I will take some pics and post them later.

Congrats on the new wheels! I think I have at least a dozen friends who have an Odyssey and all love it.
Isn't it amazing how we always seem to hear what we need, when we need it from our church leaders? I love that.
Woohoo, a new van!! I'm a toyota girl, but in my opinion, Toyota and Honda are the only way to go!!! I can't wait to see pictures. We have a Toyota Sienna right now and even though I always SWORE I would never drive a van, I'm so in love I don't think I'll ever change until I absolutely HAVE to! :)
