Thankfuls!

We had a good spring break. Lots of work done on my garden area, spring cleaning done, lots of playing at the park and a good dose of what it will be like to have my kids home all summer (not quite sure I am ready for that one).

Conference was good. I really enjoyed watching and taking part in the Solemn Assembly. I don't remember ever watching one before, so that was a neat experience. I was kind of sad to see a new YW presidency. I really enjoy listening to Sister Tanner speak, but I am sure the new one be great too.

On Sunday afternoon after conference the kids and I played soccer in the back yard to get some wiggles out. It was great fun, there were a few times I got laughing so hard trying to steal the ball away I almost peed my pants! (mommy bladder!) It was great spending some quality time with my kiddos.

Highlights and hair color. Although I have never colored my hair I do get highlights often. I need to get them done again and as I was looking in the mirror I was noticing how much grey I am getting in my hair. I am shocked, I never thought I would have this much grey already, definitely too many to pull out. So I guess it's time to get an appointment and cover those things up with some highlights so people won't know how old I am getting!

We got the garage organized and ready for our trip to the cannery next Saturday. We are trying to get a good supply of food. We ordered like 500 lbs of stuff from the cannery so we had to make some room on the shelves to store some of it. Now I need some good recipes and things I can do with wheat and beans and rice. Its great to have it but I hope I never have to rely on it and my cooking abilities or we would probably starve anyway.

Tonight begins our soccer games for the season. I am excited to start soccer, but a little hestitant too. This means I really have to be on the ball about having dinner ready before we leave for games. Since we don't get home until around 8 I need to have it ready to eat or it will be a season of cold cereal!

I am glad you had a great week. Sometimes I wish we could get a spring break but then the kids like getting out in May instead of June. So it is a toss up.

Wow! You got a lot accomplished - way to go! Good luck on getting dinner ready early! I'm struggling with that one! I have some recipes I'll send you.

SO weird that your soccer season starts now! Our here is in the fall right after school starts. California weather, I suppose.

You are a busy woman!

My kids play both spring and fall soccer, so we get a double dose each year. They love it though!
