Thankfuls!

Well, I can't say I am thankful for daylight savings time quite yet, because I am too tired. It was quite an adjustment getting up this morning for the whole family and getting to sleep last night for me. I do love the longer days though. I love that it means that my favorite holiday EASTER!!!! is right around the corner.

I was able to have some Tayson and mom time this weekend. Sometimes it seems that he gets lost in all the things older kids have going, so it's nice to spoil him once in a while, and since it was just us we went eat at applebees, (one of my favorites). Tayson had recieved a free kids meal there for reading a while ago. They were great there, they made a big deal out of the the fact that he had read 100 books (chapters in his case) this year and he loved all the attention. Then we went for a walk and played at the park. I was thinking today that I should have taken him to see Spiderwick. Has anyone seen it? Is it good?

Brittin made it home safely and had a good time with her friend. She got asked to go to Tri-cities(about 2.5 hours south of here) this weekend with her friends family to watch a hockey tournament her brother was in. So she left early Saturday morning and got back about 6 Sunday evening. It was very strange sitting in sacrament meeting with one of my kiddos missing, but I am glad she got to go and have lots of fun.

Brandon and Jordan have found some things that they both enjoy doing together. Every Saturday morning they get up at 6am and play basketball. Since it stared warming up they have added paintball to their Saturday fun. It is so nice to see them bonding and having fun together. I am glad that Jordan loves to be with his dad even though he is soooooo old. heehee!

It was so beautiful this weekend and I got some much needed yard work done. I would much rather be outside than inside. I love being out in the fresh air, and I love doing yard work (strange I know). I am getting excited to start planting things and get my garden going. It is still too early here though. We have to wait until the first of may to really start planting if we don't want things to freeze. Think bbq's with friends and salads with home grown tomatoes. yum yum!

We are going to a High School oreintation tonight. I am quite nervous about Jordan starting high school, he is going to be lost in a sea of 2000 students. He is excited to figure out his schedule and he isn't even complaining about early morning seminary(7am). I am sure that will change when he actually has to get out of bed at that time next fall. Hopefully going tonight will calm my fears some.

Sounds like your one on one time with Tayson was good - I love having that with my boys!

Scary that you are about to have a HIGH SCHOOL student...their school is just a teeny bit bigger than good 'ol KHS!

You are a great mom, Tammi!
